So yes, this is my first foray into Doom mapping but no I am no stranger to mapping/modding in general. I took a lot of ques from Black Mesa in HL1, it’s one of my all-time favorite games so you will probably see that influence in some areas. The more close quarters areas hide all kinds of secret storage rooms and vents. There are open areas which, the larger of which (Plains of Pain) was one of my first areas and it shows, I have learned a lot since then. Different hellish factions of various times are mixed in. There is a battle over power so some of the stronger demons hate each other more then they hunger for your flesh. This all takes place after John (Doomguy) has been through the major titles in the series. The included map is pretty large, the general idea is a UAC base that has been taken over and is being redecorated to a more hellish style, so fierce. So I picked up my Slade and started work on my first Doom map which quickly grew into something more ambitious. While most people talk down on his mapping skills I felt the little map (the first, have not touched nor included the second map) had a lot of potential and needed some tender loving care. Overview: This map is built on top of Rebdoomer's (aka Eric Harris) UAC Labs. DooM II wad (or DooM 3 BFG version of that wad)
